For Christmas my grandmother gave me one of her hot foil stamping machines, and boy did I have aspirations for this thing. It took me a few weeks to muster up the courage to actually turn it on (because of course there was no manual), but after a little Googling I found a YouTube video that gave me enough information to figure out the process. It took me a whole afternoon though to really feel comfortable with it (it’s so hot!) and now I think we’re well on our way to BFF status.
My first project for the stamper was a set of Valentine’s Day cards. Easy enough, right? I chose to keep it simple on purpose. In the future I’d like to print more text, etc., but for now simplicity is key. Here’s how my cards turned out!

No DIY is complete without a trial-and-error phase.

I know some of my loved ones got their cards a little late. Oh well! It truly is the thought that counts, right?
